Ordering from the United Arab Emirates

Delivery to the United Arab Emirates
ApparelX sells only to businesses. You can choose from the following delivery methods for addresses in the United Arab Emirates. The delivery fee is shown at checkout before you place your order.
  • DHL (International Standard Delivery): arrives in about 4–7 days after dispatch. This is the method we recommend.
  • EMS (International Economy Delivery): arrives in about 7–21 days after dispatch, at a lower fee. Available when your order weighs 5 kg or less. Each parcel can be up to 1.05 m long and up to 2 m in length and girth combined.
Delivery times are counted from the day we dispatch your parcel and do not include customs clearance. For more about each method, see Delivery.
Delivery delays in the Middle East
Because of the situation in the Middle East, delivery may be delayed or suspended. If this happens, we will let you know in our notice on shipping to the Middle East.
For EMS, Japan Post advises that parcels may be delayed because of reduced flights to the Middle East, and may be returned to Japan if the route is cut off.
Prices and taxes on ApparelX
  • When you are logged in, prices are shown in your account currency. To see how we convert prices from Japanese yen, see Currency and Exchange Rates.
  • Japanese consumption tax is not charged on orders delivered to the United Arab Emirates.
  • Our prices do not include UAE customs duty or VAT.
Customs duty and VAT
We send DHL orders to the United Arab Emirates on DAP (Delivered at Place) terms. This means that you, as the importer, pay any import duties, taxes, and customs fees.
DHL will ask you to pay these before or at delivery and may add its own handling fee. Please pay them so that your parcel can be delivered.
As a rough guide, customs duty is generally 5% of the CIF value (the value of the goods plus insurance and shipping), and VAT of 5% is charged on imports.
Dubai Customs exempts goods worth AED 1,000 or less from customs duty under its cross-border e-commerce procedures. Whether this applies to your parcel depends on how it is cleared, and VAT may still be charged, so please do not rely on it when you plan your costs.
These figures are only estimates and may change. The final amounts are decided by the carrier and UAE customs.
Your shipping address
  • The United Arab Emirates has no postal code system. Our address form asks for a postal code, so please enter your P.O. Box number if you have one, or 00000 if you do not.
  • Please enter your address in detail, including the building name, street, area, and emirate.
  • Enter a mobile phone number where the carrier can reach you about the delivery.
Business days and time difference
Since 2022, the weekend in the United Arab Emirates has been Saturday and Sunday. Our customer support works on Japan time (JST), which is 5 hours ahead of the UAE. Please allow for the time difference when you contact us.
